Ask your Sysop to pick it up! DOOM is the primary
topic, but we discuss all FPP 3-D games.
Author of many quality Dr. Death levels:
DRDSUDTH (Sudden Death)
DRDCORTY (Courtyard of Death)
DRDWATER (Water Fun)
Contributing Author to Bill McClendon's "WAD
Designer Technical Handbook" Get it.
I've designed PWADs since DOOM 1.1
Description : Small level designed for constant player contact.
Abundant weapons are strategically placed.. Lots of
strategy in this one, so look and adapt!
I'm semi-retired from .WAD making, so I took no
steps to align any textures. If this just totally
spoils the level for you, so be it, but I don't have
the time anymore to devote to making these things.
Unless of course, you want to pay me... ;)
I mention this, because the last two 3-D games I
played, Dark Forces and Witchaven, had noticeable
"newbie" level mistakes, and on the whole were just
not that impressive. (Compare Episode 1 of DOOM to
the illogical structures of DOOM 2 for a good
example of this..)
Additional Credits to : Cory Tucker for his excellent playtesting
abilities and patience. Cory also provided the
majority of the sounds in this .WAD
Greetz: All the regulars on FIDO DOOM: Eric Schreiber, Doug
Bora, Bill McClendon, Jim Kennedy, Chris Roberson,
Mackey McCandlish, Lowell Hamilton...
All of these guys are very knowledgeable in the DOOM
department, so stop by and ask away. One of us will
be glad to help.
