About This File

This is a one level WAD for DOOM II that is designed to work great as either a Deathmatch, Co- Op, or single player game. This level is packed with new graphics, and is designed to REALLY look like a city. It features a fast food place, a bar, a church (of course), a supermarket, a seven - eleven corner store, and a library. There are also phone booths, streets, sidewalks and other miscellaneous stuff. For more info about this WAD, check out *Additional Notes* at the end of this document.

Incredible considering how ancient it is. Very good looking level, very fun to play, and even a nice level music added. Unfortunately it's a very short level.

Great fun in UV and although it is not too long it has a nice, nocturnal atmosphere. I imagine this was one of the wads that came out after the relatively realistic architecture of Duke Nukem 3D. The readme is cute - the wad "access slow-downs on systems with only 4 meg" and the author "actually pushed some limits of the doom engine to make this WAD". Author now seems to do this for a living for Activeworlds.com.

Its good. Some nice details here. I find Michael Reid's METRO13 more appealing though. This is still a nice looking map but it has no gameplay.

Great map even for today's standards, it plays well and also has nice atmosphere and feel of real place using just minimal detail. Simply one of the best maps of 1995. 5/5

It looks like a lot of effort went into the making of all the new graphics, and implementing them. The level would make an interesting deathmatch map. Very nicely done. 5/5 -r_rr

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
