About This File

Big house wad. Layout from memory, with some modifications. Named after the road it's on. Emphasis on visuals and mayhem, not acrobatics & puzzles.

I can't exit! Good (CONFUSING) map though, graphics a bit low bit! Good supposed-to-be pr0n. ~2/5

Excellent! Very visually impressive -and quite hard map too, with varied gameplay,non-linear progression and surreal settings. A bit on the tight/uneven side for what regards ammo, so plan your visits to the various parts of the house accordingly to avoid being left powerless. 5/5 -Maes

Progression through the level can be a bit confusing and require you to retrace lots of steps. On the other hand, with prior knowledge, it's possible to beat the level in under 10 seconds. Still, as far as old house WADs go, this is one of the best, with good visuals and lots of combat through tight, winding corridors. Legitimately challenging. And finishing a battle with all the windows in the room broken just looks cool. 4/5

There might be enough ammo in the map, but I kept running out and dying shortly thereafter. Also, why is everything ENORMOUS? It made me feel like a child, or a midget. It's not that hard to extrapolate the proper scale from Doom guy's height.

no, the map cannot be finished due to a trap in the red key room. If you don't run in and get that stupid r key, you cannot finish the map. There is supposed to be pr0n, but it's so insignificant that I can't forgive the map to be incomplete, even if it's a 1995 mistake. 0/5 for no exit.

Probably the best "lol i made my RL house" level I've ever played. Hell, it might even be the best 1995 wad I've ever played! The room-over-room effect was really well done for its time, and so were the breakable windows. 4/5

The Work effect used to get the "room over room" was nicely done for its day, i am rather surprised this one hasn't seen the light of day in a while...~Azure~

Previous reviewer -> The map can always be finished. If you cannot get the key by running, you can get it by pressing the column where the key is

4/5 The graphics replacements were excellent. I don't like bumping my head on the chandelier in the first room though. It feels really cramped already. The author deserves props for putting so much effort into this, and it is pretty fun.

Because most the enemies have not been set to deaf the whole thing gets very silly very quickly. Good graphics though.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
