* Important Info *
The name is NOCHEAP! because I designed this wad to eliminate what I call
the "cheap frag". I.e, you regenerate right in front of the guy with the
big gun and get plastered, oh, say, about 10 times.
To this end, all 10 regeneration sites are concealed in tanks throughout the
level. Upon start, and (most) subsequint deaths, you will receive a
super shotgun, and a running start, before anyone will see you. Be warned,
in a 2 player deathmatch against someone with sharp reflexes, you may
still get plastered in a regen tank... but you should have better than even
chances. In a 3 or 4 way contest, you are safe. <G>
All weapons are included in the game, and there are NO Mega anythings to
get. This level is pure skill. Infact, the most your stats will ever be
is something like 100 percent health, 110 percent armor. Not enough to
stop a super shotgun blast, ya Megasphere loving whimp!
All secret areas have giveaways to them, although some are kind of subtle.
Yes, there is a exit to the maze, and it is worth it to get through. It
is even more worth it to find the rear exit switch that is effectively
an "express route" to the plasma and armor.
If you play this and enjoy it, email me! I am planning on doing some more
levels based on the regeneration theme. But only if I here from some
people. If you have complaints, suggestions, ect... you know how to find
me... Darkwing@trader.com.
BTW... there are some versions of this wad floating around called simply
"NOCHEAP.WAD". These are FLAWED copies and will not work properly in net
games. The true final version of this wad is called "NOCHEAP!.WAD". Note
the "!" point. However, if you got this file from FTP.CDROM.COM the ZIP
and TEXT file MAY be NOCHEAP1.ZIP. The wad will still always be
"NOCHEAP!.WAD." If you have the wrong version, e-mail me and I will set
you up with the correct version...
