Though some maps do show their age, it mostly holds up pretty well. A classic.

^Indeed the sequel is more impressive in just about every aspect. That being said there are some nice maps here, some that play good in coop as well, plus yet another awesome soundtrack. Considering it's almost 20 years old, an I like it a bit more than Icarus, I am going to bump it to a 4; however, a very very low one - as I still feel it's decidedly more average than pretty darn good, but the age, historical significance, and of course soundtrack are just enough for me add a star.

Its about on-par with TNT evilution for the most part. Has some great maps, but some crap creeps in from time to time (which was unavoidable for its time, understandably). Good for 1995 standards, but the Sequel is far better.

Like the first reviewer said, though I prefer going solo, Memento Mori is a great level set. But I agree with reviewer #2 about the architecture but still this one's right up there with it's successor and my favorite two megawads as one of the best.

This is one of the all-time 5 greatest, alongside its successor Memento Mori 2, Requiem, Alien Vendetta, and Hell Revealed. It was also one of the first megawads to focus on co/op play. Yes, it is aged, but the overall quality of the maps is still amazingly high. I regard some of these maps as among the very best ever made, period. Almost nothing is as classic in the long history of Doom as Memento Mori. If you haven't yet, play it through (perhaps with a friend!) and be pleasantly surprised. --5/5

Not a bad megawad! A bit too difficult at times, though, so it only gets a 4/5.

Solid megawad for it's day, though I feel there were a few miss maps in there and sometimes the wad did feel a bit bland in the looks department. Still it's a definite benchmark for the wad which followed it. 4 stars

Good and classic wad with excellent gameplay and nice levels, but I must only give it a 4/5 as the architecture is not up to the standards of modern levels. But it is still worth downloading - as it provides more than enouth fun in it's 32 levels.

Excellent! This is one of the greatest classic megawads ever created! Excellent level design, excellent new textures, and excellent music! I wish there were more megawads being created today like this. 5/5

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
