A bit dark at first, don't go blowing the barrels in your face, the maps were getting better as I follow the episode. I remember getting lost in e2m7 (my favourite).

very classic, only thing I don't like is abundance of barrels in some parts. I like how the author himself says he's not as good at Doom than other players and makes gameplay as fair as possible while still keeping it fun. some people should get a clue.

You folks that are whining about it being to "maze-y", "slow", "bland" or (according to one rocket scientist) "stupid" - go back to your moron slaughter wads. This is a brilliant map set, worthy of 5 out of 5.

The level structure was too Wolfenstein-like, heavily maze-y and orthogonal more often than not, it was like playing Wolfenstein with Doom features. The maps were gradually getting better at utilizing these Doom features, but the principle stayed, and I only got massively overwhelmed in the later levels. Gameplay itself was very slow. Aesthetics looked okay for an oldschool wad, more or less, but rather less. Interesting ideas with barrels (start of E2M4), but not enough efficiently executed. 2/5

A surprisingly exceptional oldschool E2 replacement, retains the look but offers a beefy challenge with intuitive traps and not your standard monster count. Can you say Barrel orgy? :P Combine this with an expansive and non-linear design with a depth of exploration and I say this even surpasses classic episodes in this age. Shame it was the author's only release. 5/5 - B.Krypto.

First level is pretty ordinary. Exploding barrels are all it has. Didnt play any more.

This absolutely fantastic and legendary E2 replacement. First ever doom-pwad that I played. I bought an add-on CD in 1996 where the name dinner.wad immediately struck out. An all-time favourite! Superbly creative and professionally done for 1995! 5/5 -Nebula-Kristian

My ship sails in the morning. I wonder what's for dinner? Anyway, a good set of maps from the olden days of mapping...the excellent and challenging gameplay well balances out the architecture, which while well-constructed for the most part is rather square and uninteresting. Definitely worth a play. 4/5

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
