Arrowhead

Very good map for the period.

Key doors are clearly marked, textures are (mostly) aligned, and there is decent enemy placement and ammo placement.

The only issue I have w/ the map is the progression. This isn't one of those early '94 maps that hides progression behind an unmarked essential door, like so many other maps of the time. It is still just as confusing though. Long hallways and meandering paths make this map difficult to reliably navigate - I found myself going around in circles fairly often.

Decent map, nothing crazy, nothing awful. Certainly a map of note for '94, though.

3.5/5

I can see the effort... but god damn it what the fuck was that!? From what I could tell it was a clusterfuck of random themes thrown together in a often cramped and manic base of some sorts where the blue key (That you need to finish the map) is hidden in the most ridiculous out of the blue place! This mixed with haphazard texturing and enemy placement and you got yourself a real fuck fest.

Excellent map. There is even reasonable ammo balance.

This is dated July 1994. So it's absolute garbage!

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
