Too much brown and neutral layouts. Genesis of an underrated author from 96. Go to Debut.wad and Post.wad.

Two nice maps with some good use of space, MAP01 is more primitive and easy to get lost than MAP02, but overall it's... ok. Level aren't that difficult and the layout is not to throw away, it is also pretty cool in some parts. Two nice maps for passing the time.

The design of Map01 is kinda depressing and hypnotic due to the monotonous lighting and texturing. Map02 is much more technically advanced and enjoyable, with a great sense of 3D in certain areas and more juicier action. If you liked this, make sure to check out Post by the same author, which is his final and best work.

Nothing very clever or original here, and the wad author talks about cybers and spiders like they were bad things. Nonetheless, Doom is like sex: when it's great you can't beat it, but even when it's bad it's still pretty good.

3/5 These two maps are put together well but feel a little drab, dominated by brown textures. The first one will have you hoofing a fair bit (switches/locked doors) while the second ends perhaps a bit prematurely. If anything, it reaffirms my appreciation for the plain Shotgun, since without much secret hunting I couldn't find anything more powerful besides the Chaingun. - KMX E XII

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
