About This File

This is a _very_ large file, owing to the detail given to the level (lots of linedefs) and the shear size of the map. This map is designed primarily for single player games, but has multi-player starts, and an interesting consession for DeathMatch, though the map was not designed for DeathMatch. This map took over 150 "man-hours" to create, and outgrew both DEU 5.0 and DEU 5.1's memory allocation schemes. There are no "step wrong and die" traps - If you can get into an area (without cheating) you can get out. There are secrets, hidden doors and switches galore in this map.

This is a re-release with two minor fixes (linedef changes and one texture change). This file replaces the older RRWARD01.WAD and RRWARD01.ZIP.

94' adventure, escape through the tunnels, infiltrate the tech-base, find the labs and explore. Like it.

Well the architecture is fairly simple, but its from '94 so thats understandable. It starts off pretty basic but becomes more elaborate the farther you get into the map, not to mention it's pretty fun. 4/5 ~Joe Anderson

Not great. It felt like it was trying to be one of those atmospheric, realistic levels like "UAC_DEAD" and "INVADE2", but just ended up being boring and square. 2.5/5

Very high quality wad. Tense gameplay - few monsters, but health is well enough balanced to mean there is constant danger. I'm off to check out the other rrward wads now...

Pretty good for its age. If this was made in 2009 it would be laughed at. Not too large of a map, would take a normal doomer 20 minutes to beat. Fun to play, a bit of ambiance in the cave part, I did get scared by a pink demon.

This wad is a great sequel to the Plutonia Experiment. But lol, there are more Imps than Chaingunners unlike Plutonia 1 and Go 4 It is an even more insane version of Go 2 It. Still, great megawad and it should be an official sequel of Plutonia

Very good megawad in the TNT: Evilution style but with cool design ideas. It uses a lot of the TNT music, but also music from other Doom IWADs. Also very challenging and not always well-balanced, sometimes with deadly traps, but overall highly playable and with cool architecture and ambience.

Great classic Doom II episode in the style of Thy Flesh Consumed / American McGee / Quake.

Epic wad in the style of Quake 2 (whereas Darkening I was in the style of Quake), with lots of fresh new textures, new music and complex techbase design, and headed by an author who's online even today.

A very good one-person megawad. Whereas usually single-author megawads suffer from repetitions, and this one is no exception with regards to texturing (all of it is wood, metal and plaster), the actual level design is really creative over-all. Difficulty builds up to a climactic final level.
