About This File

ALL NEW LEVELS WITH NONE OF THE SAME FORMAT. A LOT OF TIME WAS SPENT ON EACH LEVEL ON EPISODES 2 & 3. SOME LEVELS ON EPISODE 1 ALSO TOOK A LITTLE EXTRA TIME THAN I EXPECTED. MORE WORK WENT INTO THIS PWAD THAT ANY ONE YET. EVEN BETTER THAN CHAMBERS OF DEATH III THIS IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PWAD I MADE YET. THERE ARE STILL SOME MISTAKES ON EPISODE 2 LIKE SOME DOORS AND STUFF.

WELL, HERE IT IS! THE AWAITED SEQUAL TO THE EVER-SO-SUCKY NIGHTMARES GAME. WELL, THIS ONE IS NOT SO SUCKY. IT IS NOT REAL COMPLEX, BUT IT IS HARDER AND BETTER. MOST OF THE LEVELS ON EPISODES 2 & 3 ACTUALLY HAVE doors!

The Story Continues... ====================== You come home from your victory with the SpiderDemon clone and decided to take a little nap. BIG MISTAKE! the spiderdemon is done with his levels and has prepared the ultimate Nightmare!!! Prepare for the Return of the SpiderDemon. His cloning machine has created so much evil and so many deaths. The demons and imps he keeps multiplying are becoming very annoying. More humans are being possessed to kill you. Pretty soon, the SpiderDemon will run out of dead bodies to possess, so he will turn to LIVE people. Save your Species! The Spiderdemon has his own little Hell set up for you. HAVE FUN

There's a reason I never uploaded minidm.wad or any of my other pre UAC rebellion stuff to /idgames - it all sucked.

It's a Doom 1 megawad. Awful; I played the first five levels and even if the rest is unalloyed genius it is still only worth one star. Big featureless square rooms/large corridors without enough ammo to kill the monsters (which you generally can't dodge past). In my experience when an author describes his work as sucky it's a plot to gain undeserved sympathy.

      For 1995, not bad. Some ideas, are really cool, but they're mixed with dumb things. Texture misalignments are common. Overall I had nice time with this.

      Aside from a couple of stinkers (I'm looking at you, maps 20 and 33), this was a pretty fun and challenging map set to play through. For the time limit imposed in order to make these maps, they're of pretty nice quality, I think. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the (in my opinion) overusage of Arch-Viles and Revenants, it was still a fair challenge.

      Disregard earlier review server error caused me to download the incorrect file. So what do I like? The textures combined with the sharp lighting contrast between heavy dark and rather bright areas. What I don't like is the rather empty feeling level with large rooms and corridors filled with medium tier enemies on Ultra Violence, i.e cacodemons and hellknights, while only given a shotgun and chaingun. The issue with this is that encounters become more tedious than dangerous. I would add a super shotgun or spread out the medium tier enemy placement. The level detailing leaves a lot to be desired with the large empty grey rooms/corridors reminding me more of Half-Life than Doom. With some more detailing and better monster/weapon placement I would rank this higher but as it stands this level leaves a lot to be desired.
