About This File

THIS MODIFIED LEVEL IS THE RESULT OF 35+ HOURS OF EDITING AND TESTING. I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO MAKE THIS LEVEL TOUGH YET "DOABLE." I SURE HOPE YOU GIVE IT A FEW TRYS WITHOUT USING THE CHEAT KEYS. SAVING FREQUENTLY IS NOT A BAD IDEA UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT THE "TRICKS" OF THE FACILITY, BUT USING "GOD MODE" WILL REALLY TAKE THE FUN OF THE MODIFICATIONS. I'M SURE MOST OF YOU WON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL.

I DESIGNED THIS LEVEL WITH A VERY SPECIFIC MOVEMENT AND WEAPON SELECTION STRATEGY. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF SAYING "THERE'S NO WAY ANYONE COULD BE FAST ENOUGH TO SURVIVE THIS," THEN STEP BACK AND REEVALUATE YOUR APPROACH. DON'T GIVE INTO THOSE CHEAT KEYS. ONCE YOU DISCOVER THE METHOD TO MY MADNESS YOU'LL ONLY HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE RANDOM VARIABLES AND LOSING YOUR GRIP ON THE MOUSE OR JOYSTICK <G>. OF COURSE THERE ARE MANY AREAS WHERE YOU HAVE A WIDE SELECTION OF TACTICAL CHOICES, AND WHAT YOU DECIDE HERE WILL DETERMINE WHETHER WALK OR CRAWL TO THE EXIT DOOR, OR END UP WITH CRITTERS DOING A JIG AROUND YOUR CORPSE.
ON AVERAGE, IT TAKES ME 35 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THIS LEVEL. AND DESPITE MY KNOWING EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LEVEL, I STILL GET UP FROM MY COMPUTER SHAKING. I HOPE YOU HAVE AS MUCH FUN!

A fun heavily modified tougher version of Doom 1's E1M6 dated back in April of 94(yes same month of origwad). Its starts a bit hectic but with so many shotgun guys and plenty of health throughout the map, its actually not that hard to go through. However like any 94 wad, it has typical misaligned textures, a few HOMs, and had to use noclip cheat to grab the last card key due to ceiling being too low to pass under. Despite its age and a few minor stuff, its a fun wad from 1994 and I would recommend to give it a try :)

An okay remake of E1M6. Not too great but it kept me in suspense, which is more than I can say for a lot of '94 levels. 3/5

A heavily re-worked E1M6. Very fun map, with lots of violent fights and excellent traps. There's constant action from start to finish, and the playflow is wonderful. The map has been re-textured to a slightly dull greyish look, but it still looks okay. Some problems keeps it from becoming great, though. For instance, you can get trapped in several places, and some monsters are tricky to kill. Lots of high drops also means monsters can kill you from below, out of sight. Still, definitely recommended. --4/5

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
