A very tough rework of Milo's earlier Greek.wad People liked the architecture, but it was a DM only wad, so I converted to a single player carnage level. I haven't counted the monsters but I'm sure there are close to a thousand, in true Punisher style. :)

Get the three keys and get to the exit. There is lots of health and ammo, but getting the weapons isn't as easy as in Punisher 1 and 2.

Seej is another early slaughtermap from Dario Casali. With roughly 1000 monsters, it surpasses both Punisher and Go 2 It. 

 

Unlike Punisher, Seej manages to keep up its pace. The more open layout and better monster combinations make infighting much less viable and there aren't many safe spots. The item placement is also much more thought out, you actually have to explore the level to find weapons. Powerups and health are also more scarce. 

 

The only time the level slows down is once you clean up most of the 300+ initial monsters, but then you start progressing trough it and Seej pulls its greatest trick. Schutzstaffel!

If you are familiar with Dario's Requiem Map23, you'll immediately know what this means.

The ghost monster setup is really similar to Requiem, they even both come out from some sort of Blood Fountain.

I'm a big fan of using ghost monsters, and they are very effective here. From then, until the very end, Seej never lets down.

 

The level isn't very nice to look at, since 90% of it is the same brown brick texture, even though the architecture is pretty nice. Although, once you start killing, all the corpses laying around add a lot of colour to the map :) 

 

Overall, Seej is worth playing both as a fun slaughtermap and for its historical value.

Dario Casali siege-carnage adventure. There's maybe a thousand monsters in here, so better find those weapons and start to think how to digest it all. Watch out for those nazi ghost. Built time about two. Funny.

4/5 There's a lot of crazy stuff going on in the background but there's plenty of cover, plenty of health, and plenty of ammo to go around, though obtaining the weapons isn't quite so straightforward. I like the "under siege" concept and there's room for loads of tactical thinking. - KMX E XII

Dario must really like the house under siege concept. This level's not quite as good as punisher because it's too large, monsters have a tendency to wander off and get lost which defeats the idea of being under relentless assault. Plus the monsterfights you can provoke aren't as interesting and the level design restricts your weapon use more. Still more fun than should be legal - it's a Dario Casali level after all. 4/5 - Ryback

Learn some grammar, get some skills and maybe you´ll enjoy such a map. Great map with HR/AV style gameplay - 5/5

A moderate-sized but monster-packed level; there are 895 of the bastards. Unlike NUTS etc there's plenty of architecture to hide behind. The gameplay revolves around killing the Arch-viles and then letting the monsters duke it out. It's fun on a dumb level but gets tiring quickly.

      Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

      Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

      It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

      What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

      thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
