About This File

This is the sequel to Debut (debut_ep.zip), which was a full episode replacement for UDoom.

This is 11 new levels from scratch for Doom2 versions 1.7 - 1.9. It contains a new exe, new sprites, new floors, new walls, and a whole hell of alot of other new stuff.

Like Debut, most of my time on this was spent, working on the levels. Lighting, "fancy" archetechture, and other fun little things are present throughout the WAD.

Although everyone who mailed me about Debut said they enjoyed it, a few people said it was too easy, so...this one isn't (if it is then i suck!).

NO CHEATS are needed to complete these levels (if fact, hehe) there are different skill levels so choose one that suits you.

Stop reading, and download it, you won't be sorry, Oh yeah, just 'cause it's not a monster doesn't mean it can't be shot!

has some dubious design decisions here and there but otherwise quite solid.

Don't make the mistake of overlooking this oldie because it's a heck of a lot of fun. Excellent architecture and awesome level design, POST really hits the sweet spot when it comes to classic doom gameplay. Each level offers a different theme, from brick castles to caverns to techbases there is always something new to see. Add to this very good gameplay and you know that it's because of wads like this that doom is as amazing as it is. 4.5/5, pity it wasn't longer!

One of my favorites. Atmospheric levels with clever layouts, and a touch of goofiness with the storyline. Wish the author had chosen music for the other maps besides the final one, but its not such a sin to listen do doom2's soundtrack again. Worth checking out debut.wad as well.

pretty good architecture for such an old wad.

It's a mixed bag that had a pretty decent day. The author was way too obsessed with symmetry and non-SSG combat, however POST has a lot of character, which is created by the new textures, sprites, weird map names and of course the stylish design. I had a good time with it, some fun tense moments due to low HP as well as mysterious moments of confusion. Nice work for 1996.

This episode is amazing. It looks excellent for a 1996 wad and it also has an amazing story. You're basically kicking yourself in the nuts if you don't play this. 5/5

Not bad - a decent challenge. A few weird ideas here and there.

Indeed very well done but not as good to be in the top ten of 1996. Therefore it lacks a little bit of detail. But I agree with the poster from above about nuts and kicking. Coldfusio.

as usual, Death-Destiny draws inspiration from The Mucus Flow, with greenery and silver turret embankments. only it's not as complicated, as this is actually a speedmap. little health at the beginning makes this part really hard, along with the secret plasma gun chambers. the crates are cute at times, the ambushes actually are kinda annoying, especially with how pop-up monsters are used. definitely look out for the spiderdemon reveal, that will likely be a jumpscare when the arachnotrons show up. the red skull fight that follows is hard as hell too. worth checking out, it's much shorter than Disturbia, but doesn't follow the same mechanics.

"Slaughter. Fun slaughter."   yeah, no. this pales compared to the first Newgothic. the maps here are less memorable and more painful than playful. there's no difficulty settings, and ZDoom will lag on MAP09 and MAP16 mostly due to the items present (a real hassle for MAP16). the cyberdemon placements in these maps in particular really bugged the hell out of me and these maps are less speedrun friendly than the original as well. favorites were MAP14 and MAP15. MAP02 is just unbearable. I prefer my slaughters with difficulty settings, thank you.

A strange huge manor to explore with some sexy secret pics and many baddies. I didn't found this level really fun to be honest but it has many creatives ideas for a limit-removing map and a very obscure progression. Totally not recommaned for beginners because of the mandatory sr50-jumps and very limited resources on UV. PPPP has many vanilla tricks , especially the deep water effect when you walk in the water.   Detailed review : http://doomfrance.forumactif.com/t3832p50-boom-eternal-slumber-party#139129    My UV saveless demo (must be launched with ESP.wad) : DEMO

Grime looks like a more hellish version of Scythe 2's map 25 mainly because it uses an altered and darker version of the music "Intolerance" from Seiken Desentsu 3 and it was heavily inspired from Scythe 2 Map 23-25 . I actually found Grime way easier than Erik Alm's map . The health and ammo were indeed quite plentyful and above all Grime doesn't have those annoying and overpowered space marines. Inversely , Grime has more high-tier monsters but you can make them easily infight.   It doesn't figure among my favourite maps from Death-destiny but that remix of "Intolerance" is fucking awesome. :)   Detailed review : http://doomfrance.forumactif.com/t4688-review-maps-de-death-destiny#140845   My UV saveless demo : DEMO

A tough speedmap made by Death-destiny with many questionable textures choices but I really enjoyed the moody atmosphere thanks to the music. However , this map is not as tough as others death-destiny's works even if a lot of monsters encounters happen in cramped spaces.   Detailed review : http://doomfrance.forumactif.com/t4688-review-maps-de-death-destiny#140845   My saveless demo done on UV: HERE
