About This File

This is a PWAD file that replaces Episode 2 Map 1 in the REGISTERED version of Doom. It is not a very large level but is of fair size (for a level 1). There may be a future version of it in which I will add more if there's any point so please send your comments and suggestions to me. Please be kind, this IS my first wad.

Test for the nerves without idspispopd and idbeholdI, I'm giving it a 5 for being one of the first WADs (march 27th 1994!)

A boring switch hunt on over-sized super-slow elevators or utter boredom. Poor use of textures and hardly any monsters, this map does not even feel or play like like doom. This map is just awful, a vomiting kind of awful that is.... 0/5

I don't usually criticise wads on technical grounds, because I value playability more. But this is a very poor early wad with texture misalignments, broken lifts, missing textures and it's not very good. Doesn't deserve leeway for being such an early wad, either, as there are better ones prior to this.

All the fun of your last bowel movement, assuming you are a ton of broken glass for your dinner. Stretch the process to nearly infinity. You just recreated the magic of this map.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
