The first half or so of this megawad is top notch, well designed, atmospheric and generally a lot of fun. It's a real shame that many later levels taper off into cheap and outright lame territory at times. 4/5. Worth playing through but I wouldn't care to play through the later levels again.

Lots of good and great maps, but there are some maps that makes me withdraw one star, so 4* It`s a classic though.

Playing through this as a level designer was a humbling experience, as it still destroys most wads made in 2010. And to think these guys did this in '97! Definitely a must-play! 5/5!!!

For it's time, a pretty nice set of levels one of the few 32 replacements worth playing throughout. That is if you overlook map 20, 32 or other fillerish crap... I'd say it's objectively deserving of 4/5 for it's quality. -Giullietta

Good. But not one of the all time greats.

Just compare this with any wad made in 1997 and you will see this is by far the best. Now compare it to some of the great wads of today and it still beats most of them hands down. This is possible because of the team of dedicated people who made it - Doom lovers that know what is required to satisfy the Doom lovers need, and my needs were, and still are fulfilled with this great timeless masterpiece. 5/5 all day long.

The first megawad I ever played. It's possibly starting to look its age, but really AV is the only megawad which plays better than this. Gameplay is preferable to the Hell Revealeds/Scythes as it is not quite as monster spammy so people can get into it and enjoy it without being stressed. Co-op is almost totally broken in some maps, not a problem these days but back in the day it was a pain in the arse. A wonderful introduction to Doom and a reminder of where the Doom Community came from.

I find the overall standard to be above the first Memento Mori, and yet again, you've got to honor its age and you can't just rate this type of stuff like it came out from 2013. Most of the filler isn't necessarily that bad; it just seems out of place due to shortness, bu it's not unforgivable. I'm torn between a 4 or 5 (elevated from a 3 or 4 due to its age, and rightfully so), but it has more maps I found quite interesting compared to MM, so I'll give it 5. Again, you have to play it at least once.

A good megawad, but very irregular. There are very good maps (e.g. 13, 15, 24), but there are horrible too, and at the end of the set, which is worse (20,25,26). Final map is a too short and easy icon of sin, inappropriate. Funny, but not a masterpiece 4/5

I think half the people that posted here neglected to look at the date of release, aka 97. This wad was legendary when it came out, introducing all sorts of things to people and I , for one, was dually impressed. I give it 5 stars, and honestly, if you are going to flame this was, at least leave your name you f**ktards 5/5 - Kirby

I'd personally recommend the Memento Mori's over this. Requiem is cool and all, but the filler maps prevent this from being a favourite of mine. 4/5

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
