This is far from my first wad and my testers have told me that this is my best. It's pretty big with both big open areas and a few cramped rooms. It was designed with DEATHMATCH in mind from the beginning and features light switches in some rooms making your presence there obvious. The barrels are in places which may be nasty in deathmatch, and there are lots of interesting angles for attacks.

Here is another hidden gem I found while playing Maximum Doom. Jason Whittington didn't like what he was seeing from most mappers in 1994, so what did he do? He made a fun fast paced map with a great layout, this is no surprise considering that this map was also intended for deathmatch. There are a few early mapper problems such as some tight combat space in some spots & a set of stars that are marked secret, but being made in 1994 this is one of the better maps.

This is a decent early wad - nostalgic fun by today's standards, but it would have been very good in 1994, although the texture alignment is all over the place. Twelve secrets, but because of buggy sector layout there's only really one secret areas. The designer loved barrels and opening windows, both of which are overused greatly. It's not bad to play, with a decent monster count, but it's a bit of a dull slog, with copy-and-paste traps.

      It was difficult for me, but I enjoyed it, a few more ammo pick ups and maybe some health too, but other than that it's a good level.

      Horrible and unenjoyable, it's what I can say about this megawad.  Does it really need to be archviles and cyberdemons in every corner and tight corridors, ambushing with nowhere to go?  Yes, textures are very monotonous, and you got corridor after corridor with same floor/ceiling height.  It's extremely annoying to hunt for that switch that will let you continue, and, surprise!  They're hidden inside the walls without being secrets and no hints where to look for, even with ALLMAP cheat you get lost very easily

      Not quite as bad as some other comments said, for an old wad anyway. Playable but easy at UV. Some poor texture alignments, nearly all brightly lit, no atmosphere. New sounds are mostly cranky but I liked the machine gun. The voice sounds the same as in "Wild West Of The North" - WEST.WAD which was by Mike Lasota and which also has cranky (but different again) sounds.
