About This File

1 level WAD.

I use a P120 machine, so I imagine some areas may run slowly on a underpowered machine.

The best WAD I ever played. It's HUGE and it is a hell of fun to play. It reminds me of some futuristic nazi-style architecture. Lots of space to run and maneuver and so the right difficulty despite lots of enemies. GREAT !!

Excellent level. Complex, large, and tough. A bit too much ammo, though. Out of sheer bravery I took down a Cuberdemon with my Double barrel, and was able to find enough health, armor, and shells to stay in the fight. --MechWarrior Jake Pryde

I liked it. had to iddt to find two missing monsters - they were two deaf cacos, but they could still be awakened if you go right up to the walkway barrier/railing. Didn't find the rocket launcher until I looked in an editor after all the monsters were dead - stupid me.

I got ambushed by a bunch of lost souls at the start. It's not up there with the best.

Obviously, "a big job" refers to the size of the map, cause it's really large. But the rooms and buildings are very plain and simple, so you'll go quite fast through this one. I liked the gameplay very much. There's plenty of health and ammo, and you can rush through the ambience, half on a spree, half with care, because the fights are not hard, but not that easy either. Optically, this map is good mid-90ies avarage. 3.5/5 -Milian 2005

Hardest level I have ever played! It took me at least 3 weeks to beat! But yeah there was too much ammo health and armor. but don't let that stop you, I give this a 5 of 5! Great Job man! -Federation Commander Powell-

Excellent!!!! I really enjoyed this wad. The architecture is really good in my opinion even though it is pretty simple. There are no major texture misalignments that I could notice and the gameplay is tremendous fun. A huge level that will give you at least an hour playing time on your first try. Also the difficulty is just right and it is not as frustratingly hard as some of the other better wads out there. 5 Star gameplay and 4 Stars overall! Excellent! -Captain Napalm

Massive architecture and a complex, interesting layout. Reminded me of memento mori map15 for some reason. Gameplay is a bit easier this time because there's very sufficient ammo and room is vast - so play with -fast. 4*

It was good. Good sectors; lifts were there, doors were ok, and the monsters were stationed good. I really didn't have any complaints. Overall, I'd say it was good, and it surprised me that there were no glitches (being that the level is so damn big). I liked it, and I have gotten the yellow key and killed most of the monsters. Almost done, but from what I saw it was good. ****/*****

quite impressive map, It shows a massive and eye-candy architecture thru simple lines, but this map is pretty big and I dunno how he can avoid VPOs and HOMs - PerOxyd

A big, meaty, manly map from ten years ago, on the verge of the source port era (the same author's "Run buddy" is even bigger). The layout resembles one of those 1960s' concrete cities of the future. It's one of those relentless maps that always has one more bit for you to explore, and it's great fun to just dash through it, picking up a trail of baddies. You get loads of rockets. Easy to get lost, though, and it's very wandery (not helped by the samey looks).

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
