About This File

There was hexen and hexen2, startrek and startrek the next generation, quake and quake2. What do they all have in common? The sequel was a hell of a lot better than the original which was good any ways. Well now theirs #1kill the next generation which follows the tradition. It features 23 never before seen levels with new textures and music from all off doom ever created under Id. It was built with the experience of building 13 levels for doom/doom2 and the experience of playing doom, doom2, final doom, obtic, hexen, swheretic, quake, and other levels off the net, These levels are built to be challenging with the quality you would expect from Id, playability, and beauty in mind.

It would be so much better if there weren`t unnecessary death traps, millions of heavy weapon dudes, impossible situations and so on. The design isn`t as good as it seems on the first look, while playing you feel if there is empty space left behind the textures, it is not appealing to the eyes at all.

extremely overdosed in chaingunners and too many instances of 30-second doors. also i got stuck inside a wall on MAP11 and MAP12 is just terrible. because of how difficult some encounters are, i'd say this is great for coop, but terrible overall for singleplayer on UV. also, why are all the MUS files duplicated?

Another wad that confuses quantity with quality. Where are all the small and clever maps? Why this encouragement of dull overkill?

I really commend the work put into this piece, but I have to take down a star for critical bugs in some of the bugs. (Using NoClip is not always desirable just to progress the game) The detail level is pretty good, the monsters and ammo laid out nicely... Still worth playing. 4 out of 5. -prdarkfox

A really simple WAD introducing very few new textures, and still it has such an atmosphere that I dare say it is my favorite WAD. It has improved and fantastic maps and a lot of traps. Prepare to be scared, for this WAD will definetly surprise you a LOT. Not just the traps, the envirionments and the get-the-key-and-go-b ack-to-the-start-of- the-map style of gameplay also works. You don't feel bored for a second.. This is a MUST for anyone who likes the old Doom WADs. 10/10 -spadeKing23-

It was a good set of levels despite the bugs. The worst thing I found on this (aside from a couple of inescapable rooms) was the overuse of time-delay doors for which the delay was a bit long. A little more work and this WAD pack would have been nearly perfect though. 4/5

This is a solid contender for being the absolute best Megawad that I've ever played.

I...did not review this, okay. well, it's blue and it's pretty decent and setpiece-y. get used to ribbiks' style and this one is just like all his other maps, very well-designed and fun to play. just watch out for MAP03's final area.

it's one of those classic 90's wads you can probably just sift through, but it's not that good. plenty of inescapable pits, some awful level progression, and some actually trollish crusher placement lie within this one.

A few really good maps supported by a bunch of alright ones. Visuals are mostly Plutonia-inspired, with the occasional veering into Shores of Hell type mish-mash architecture. Difficulty is about on par with DOOM2.wad I think. Overall, a rather pedestrian affair, although the standout maps are certainly worth the time.

BACK TO SATURN X E1: GET OUT OF MY STATIONS REVIEW:   The Good:   - Stunning visuals   - Great monster placement   - Lots of (clever) secrets and they are rewarding   - Enough ammo to keep you going   - The names of the Maps LOL!   - Loads of fun   - Awesome music!   The Bad:   - Not long enough. LOL! I loved it so much, I didn't want it to end!   In Short: I've actually played this fantastic WAD at least 6 or 7 times. Why? This is my second favorite WAD of all time, only bested by its successor, BTSX Episode 2: Fountain of Sparks. I remember the very first time I played it a couple of years ago like it was yesterday. How many times can you say that (in a good way) about a game?   I remember being completely blown away by the architectural designs at the time. I even remember giggling as I sunk in the ocean on the final Map, only to read something like "To Be Continued..." and thinking, "Awww....it's over." But I admit that, like everyone else, I had loads of fun with this.    There is lack of a "customary" final boss (I wasn't certain if this was a "Good" or "Bad" element of the game, hence why it's in neither category above - it really will depend on the player so I kept it neutral). But don't let that deter you! The final "stage" in the last (playable) Map is as memorable as it is wicked, and it'll keep you on your toes just like any other customary boss!   Play this WAD if it's the only WAD you ever play. Definite replay value.   Well deserved Cacoward. Thanks, Team, for making it!   5 out of 5 stars with me.  ~ dylux
