About This File

You must search for a brazilian UAC jungle base. New graphics and sounds immerse you in a jungle enviornment as well as caverns, an ancient temple, and more as you search for the base and attempt to destroy everything that escaped. (Press F1 after installation for full story)

theme seems nice, but these textures get boring after awhile, but map layouts and combat are the worst. barely any combat to speak of here, and then you have awful corridor crawling gameplay to complement it. not even MAP06 can save it and that's probably the only map here that is somewhat worth playing.

Boring gameplay, cramped maps, zero challenge. There's other maps and mapsets out there that do the "real world" theme better than this. I can't really recommend this except to WAD historians and the curious.

Ambitious project - sadly too much. New textures are ok, but map layout and gameplay are not at all. Gameplay consists of mostly walking through a zillion of cramped passages, almost all with the same jungle look, making it way too repetitive. The remaining architecture & gameplay are not much better. 3.5 for the sprites, 1.5 for the architecture and 1 for the gameplay makes 2* average.

easy gameplay, more as an excellent showcase of graphics and ambient sounds, very original

It's nice, but no masterpiece. Fairly plain maps other than the nice textures, and the effects are also simple but effective.

pretty darn impressive TC for an immersion within the depth of the jungle, with fine ambiant sounds. The maps are not the best ones that I have ever seen, but they are of excellent quality. It's of the same quality than AlienTc by J.Fisher. A must!!! Jive

4-5 of 5 for the appearance. 1 of 5 for gameplay. It's ridiculously easy. 2/5 -Milian

Crappy gameplay, but good graphics for its time. The same guy who did this also did a map for Twilight Warrior. Still, way too boring. 2.5/5

This is pretty creative; the jungle theme is pulled off very well for the time and I thought some of the audio effects were pretty cool too (especially the music that plays when you enter the BFG room). 4/5.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
