About This File

This wad is 312kb when unzipped, due to the extra graphics & music.

I put a cyberdemon in this one - well why not?

My favourite part of this wad is the red key area - see what you think.

The seventh dickie map is an interesting E4-styled challenge. Not a lot of standout moments or architecture aside from some bloodfalls near the beginning, but it's still a solid 15-minute romp. Progression towards the end becomes a little confusing, though, with the exit inside a rather mundane-looking tunnel full of enemies after escaping the Cyberdemon room.

I would like to apologise for using the word "fun" four times in that review. Replace the second fun with "entertaining", the third with "pretty good" and the last with "enjoyable".

This is from May 1998. It's good fun, a mid-sized techbase / dungeon with a mild E1 feel. The layout is simple in a classic style, and there are enough monsters for it to be fun (including an imp rush at the start). The computer maze is a bit naff, but it's short. You can get stuck if you pick up the computer map and don't exit sharpish. The final battle is fun, and extended, although you get loads of rockets. Overall it's a very good for 1998, still fun today.

I really only think this should have 3.5 stars. But I was nice.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
