About This File

Scientists at UAC have created slipgates that go through different dimensions, as well as places in the past and future. Yet there was one dimension that they had overlooked - HELL'S Dimension. Unbeknownst to UAC, Hell had created their own slipgate to Earth's present, and used it to transport themselves to Earth, invade UAC, and then use UAC's slipgates to take over the world chronologically as well as internationally. Once UAC got ahold of the news, they sent you, their toughest marine, out to seek out the slipgate to the future. Once in the future, you have to exterminate all Hellish activity, then teleport to the past and do the same, and finally venture through Hell itself. This won't be easy. The whole world is counting on you!

A lot of fun maps, and all of them playable from a pistol start (maybe not readily Maxable, but there's much more to Doom than killing everything - or indeed anything).

This megawad reminds me of "Demonfear", but I actually liked this better. There's an awesome speedrun of this on Youtube. Anybody who likes Archvile-jumping and 8 second completion times should check it out. 3.5/5

^^That is really arrogant. Being able to make a fully playable megawad when you're barely a teenager is quite an achievement. Sure, DOT is far, very far, from the best looking or most well designed megawad out there and so was it in 1998. But that's all easily forgiven for a 13-year old who later went on to give us greats like Xexus, CC3 Map29, Scourge, and Coffee Break. It's just too far from legendary for me to even consider a 4, but OTOH I feel quite obligated to give a 4 so 4/5 it is.

This wad isn't too bad, it suffers from issues similar to the early works of Paul Corfiatis on the grounds of looks and game play which is more suited to consecutive play rather than pistol start. But this is a lot of fun and like in early wads, there are a few clever gimmicky levels thrown in too. Fun wad which showed even then what Matt could be able to make. 4 stars

Short version: Bad. Slightly longer version: This is how I picture a pack with maps that didn't fit into TNT would look like. The TNT influence is obvious... only thing is, these maps are of much lesser quality. Texture alignment is rare. The layouts are dull. The fights are boring, stupid and (agonizingly often) pointless. Some maps were even so afwul I was tempted to skip them (and I *never* do that, usually). I assume it has gotten high marks mainly for nostalgic qualities. Skip it. --1/5

Excellent work! This wad is really well done. Even now, in 2005, after Doom building standards have been grown in the last years, it's impressive.

A 4.6 this WAD deserves. I must say that this is one of the greatest megawads, taken into my TOP10. The quality is quite great, even if a minor created this, but the WAD will be 12 yrs old in November, and an irreplaceable old-skool classic made my days in those times I was grounded. 5 stars.

The levels are well designed, i like the remix of Goldeneye music (the Caverns music :o)) and.....i don't have much to say... oh, the maps are too short. 3-4 stars but i give 4 stars :)

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
