About This File

This is a wad that has 8 levels. This is the bridge to Xornox's world. It consists of mostly bosses. They are regular doom2 enemies made into hard bosses. I say that from level 4 and up the bosses become harder. The 4th boss is the hardest boss to beat I think. Lv's 1-7 are the bosses Lv 8 is the enterance to the Fire Palace.

Weirdass dehacked experiment trash wad with glitchy looking levels and boss monsters that can't be killed because you'll fall asleep sooner. I'm not exactly sure why this exists.

What the feck is going on in Frank Laing's tiny little mind? These 'levels', if you can call them levels, are so bad I downloaded the zip again in order to delete it again! absolute ZERO/5

This is dated January 1998 and it's an unbelievably awful pile of cack from the uniquely bent Frank Laing. The eight levels are mostly just giant squares with randomly-splattered details and one (1) monster, except for Map08 which has no monsters. A Dehacked patch is supposed to make the baddies super-tough, but it doesn't seem to work and in any case you can usually just run to the exit. Was it all a big joke, like the Ruba maps? We may never know.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
