About This File

A 4 level episode starting at e3m1 and finishing at

e3m8. Unlike CPHOBOS, all of the secrets here

have better hints to their existance. This episode

has extensive new graphics and is built to look

just like a mall with a new monster. Uses DeHackEd

for new effects such as shooting computers or

windows, the new monster and new text.

For you deathmatch players, I have put in a button

on level 3 that will take you back to level 2 for a

2 level cycle that goes until you are ready to

finish. Then just go to the normal exit.

Unless people insist, this is probably my last

episode/levels for Doom. Let me know what you

think.

the grey road mixed with dark lighting gives the spectre an advantage. I really like the first map layout, but I also like the other mall maps. I can't remember e1m7 too well other than a simple map guards by hallway cyberdemons? That sucked. Unfortunately, there mall maps don't really stand too well to time. The new monster graphics are really weird! Oh well. ~2/5

E3M7 has some of the worst progression in a map that I've seen. a number of the sprite changes are dreadful too.

One of the greatest wads that I have played. Brilliant.

One of the earliest maps I remembered playing as a kid with new graphics/sound/music . Which in turn made it an instant favorite.

I think the DEH lump isn't working quite as intended, the inanimate objects scream in pain and bleed when I shoot them. This is from 1994, complete with a BBS texture and everything. It feels old, but it's fun to check out.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
