Doom 64 EX Crashes.

I have recently installed Doom 64 EX and every time I start up a new game it always crashes. It does it kinda different depending if i am in windowed or fullscreen.

Windowed:
I can get to the menu if I skip the intro but when I hit the fade before the game starts it shows garbled colors and then reverts to my desktop.

Fullscreen:
Goes to black but then it reverts to desktop. Doesn't even show the disclaimer.

This happens to me when i have an internet browser open. Is this the case for you?

What video card do you have and what OS are you running?

Is there a CRASHLOG.TXT file? If so can you upload it?

vticd.dll? That's a new one to me. I am assuming you're running off of some laptop yes?

Can you upload vticd.dll somewhere? I want to take a look at it.

Or to be more specific:

The vticd.dll file is the UniChrome (Pro) IGP ICD Driver of the VIA/S3G CLE266 / KM400 / KN400 / K8M800 / K8N800 model video cards.

Or in other words, buggy driver for low-end hardware that's probably not going to be able to handle Kex Engine.

I had this chipset on my averetec. Never buy that brand, ever.

A write to addr 8, sounds like an unchecked bad ptr somewhere. Can't read that stack dump so do not know who. Also Doom64 + system is using over 900MB ?? That is a huge amount of memory for any Doom.

That's the total physical ram on your system, not the game.
