Negative acceleration in Zdaemon

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My problem is about mouse movement. I got a negative acceleration in the RIGHT direction ONLY. Very weird.

The thing is, I already use MarkC's mouse fix. (here: http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html)

It works fine for Counter Strike so I don't see why it wouldn't for Zdaemon?
People told me to put the In_mouse value at 0, which was already done.

It seems I get a very slight negative accel in the left direction as well, but nothing dramatic I could live with it.

Any ideas?

MarkC's mouse fix is meant for games that do NOT use direct input for the mouse.
Zdaemon will use direct input by default (in_mouse = 0).
When direct input is used the mouse should not be influenced by the system mouse settings such as acceleration etc.
I am not sure what is causing the anomalies that you describe though.
What you could do is to set in_mouse to 1 to actually use the windows mouse. Then it would make sense to use MarkC's fix to disable the acceleration.

Thanks for the answer.

I tried in_mouse 1, didn't do anything :(. I don't know what to do...

To let everyone know, I found out what the problem was.

The mouse I use has way too much DPI (and high polling rate as well) and I just had to lower it.
For the info, I have a Razer Deathadder (left-handed) with 3500dpi max.

That's it! cya :)
