Dungeons and Dragons Fanfic - The Missionary

A friend of mine has been working on a fantasy story revolving around an old Dungeons and Dragons character she used to/still (?) plays. I told her I'd pass it on as she's trying to build a readership so feel free to comment either on FFN or here. Comments and crits of course are welcome.

I gave the new stuff a read over and I gotta say it came out quite good. Feel free to take a read, I'm sure it'd be appreciated.

Still going pretty strong. Just under 50k words total now too.

So once again, the silly writer wannabe comes by with the tin cup clinking some coins within it and offering stories for those interested.

I uploaded today’s chapters (two of them in one go, hurray) and noticed I hit the 70 thousand word mark today. That’s a pretty beefy piece of work. Additionally, it’s also the 20th chapter of the entire piece!

So yes, I’m here to promote the work (again) and continue to solicit reviews and people’s thoughts on it. Good, bad or otherwise. I’d love nothing more than to hear what people think works or doesn’t. I’ve been trying very hard to improve my writing style and making it more ‘direct’ without all the fancy adjectives and stuff. I’m hoping this’ll draw more interest but if something else needs to be improved (like grammar! ) I’d love to hear it.

At some point in the future when this is all written out and such, I do plan on going back and giving it a coat of gloss. Do some serious editing and making it somewhat print worthy. However I need to know what’s right or wrong with the piece to do so! Give it a read and if you like it, please drop a note on the reviews! If you don’t like it, drop one anyway! I know it seems daunting at first but you’re not required to read the whole thing to form an opinion.

So with the close of volume 6, I thought I’d re-post the little advert here. We’re down to 4 more chapters and then we’ll be done, then starts the long road of re-engineering things and putting it all together along with getting some cover/insert art (unfortunately, I’m so broke I can’t pay attention so that’s not been a possibility up to now.)

I’m burned out right now so forgive the brevity.

Kathrine Stoneriver is a young priestess in service to Chauntea who’s fallen into a portal taking her on a whirlwind tour of the multi-verse. Her new friend has a secret and holds a relic that can give someone anything they want, even godhood. Yet the people she’s stolen it from not only want it back, but know her secret.

The conflict will test every moral sense Kat has and in the end will force her to choose her duty as a friend or her duty to the gods she’s sworn to serve.

Rated T for some minor cursing and implied sexuality (nothing explicit, you needn’t fear blush factor)
