Have Diablo games been thoroughly translated into other languages?

I'm asking this because I find the concept interesting: if Diablo gets translated in any other language, its gameplay will also be modified, because the magic items are highly dependent on a specific language's syntax.

battle.net lists english, german, spanish, french, italian, polish and (I guess) korean versions. I can say for sure that there is a german version.

[edit] For Diablo 2, IIRC there was at least no german version of Diablo 1.

[edit 2] Diablo 3 additionally seems to be available in chinese and portuguese.

I believe I recall a french Diablo 2, but no french Diablo 1 for sure.

Item names were often silly and nonsensical.

Even though this is off topic to the actual question in the thread: I cant wait for diablo 3 :)
