2012.wad, boom compatible megawad [WIP]

New megawad made by me and potentially Bloodite Krypto
Other stuff pending as I try to revive this wad.
Here is the current progress
Map01 - Docking Station - 80% complete
Map02 - Spaceport - not started
Map05 - Late Night Shopping - Reworking the level to make it progress more cleanly.
Map07 - Secret Bunker - fixing this map to improve gameplay
Map11 - Colossus (needs difficulty settings)
Map22 - Utter Pandemonium - Finished except for difficulty settings and co-op starts.
Map23 - Arch - Vengeance - Reworking the gameplay to make the level more fair. More ammo, better weapons etc.
Map24 - Grizzly Grotto (Bloodite Krypto) - Still have the version from a while back, still needs some gameplay tweaks and added detailing.

Cheers, it did show me some things to fix in some of the maps, I will just try and clean the levels I have done up before thinking about making more maps for this, plus I did promise to make a map for the NOVA project which I should probably start on soon.

FDAs

-: too linear and flat design, somewhat confusing level progression (like when you press some switch and have no idea what it did)
+: fun and challenging gameplay, great atmosphere and music selection

You definitely should continue. :)

Thanks for the support and constructive criticism, I shall work on these maps after I hand in my dissertation in a weeks time. I seem to have a problem with making maps rather flat, and I will try to make things a little more obvious for the player, I think map04 would cause the most hassle. I think I laughed maniacally at the end of that FDA, I think that was a bit mean.

I watched your Youtube demonstration and thought the map was genius! :o The layout and atmosphere reminded me of Eternal, Speed of Doom and Twilight Zone all rolled into one! Grim and foreboding atmosphere with most excellent and underused Gothic textures and a funderful array of intense and claustrophobic traps to fit the map's absence of light.

I got bored and started making another map for this, I know I should fix the others up, but my mind got creative, so here are a few pics, this is only about 25% done though, this will be map26 "Caroline Complex"

Going for a slightly odd, hell/tech mix here, just wanted something a little different to the normal hell levels which will be made later on.

Ha I wish, though many here would probably consider it a "dick move", I don't really know how to edit the monsters to make things like that happen. Anyway the surprise will be revealed when I release the updated version of the wad :)

So, nothing happened on 21st 2012 because it was obviously BS and so this wad is not going to be ever finished.. I guess?

heh this kind of ground to a halt, one map mysteriously teleported into slaughterfest 2012 and left with a few maps scattered around in this wad file. Maybe one day I shall resume this. I will keep browsing the internet for a appropriate deadline (A.K.A when some madman decides the world is going to end for the 1,789,234,651th time)
Just a note, I don't always fail at completing stuff :)
