MasterofJKD Posted June 26, 2012 Theres a strange graphical glitch and its actually pretty common in tons of pwads but how would I get rid of it? http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/12/22/3242075/Screenshot_Doom_20120626_123015.png 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted June 26, 2012 This is a slime trail. If you want to get rid of it as a player, you might want to try a port with an OpenGL renderer, such as GLBoom+, GZDoom, Risen3D or Doomsday. If you want to get rid of it as a mapper in a level you are making, try moving vertices a bit or using a different nodebuilder. There is no perfect cure, though, and they might just reappear elsewhere. 0 Share this post Link to post
MasterofJKD Posted June 26, 2012 well I'll try moving the vertices a bit but at least I know theres no easy fix for it. Thank you for helping me out. 0 Share this post Link to post
MasterofJKD Posted June 26, 2012 yeah it didnt do anything even when I moved the vertice, but oh well its not all that noticeable. 0 Share this post Link to post
schwerpunk Posted June 26, 2012 This is one of the bugs that is easily excused as long as it isn't too prominent. I'm given to understanding that they appear in id's maps as well. I've never had the (mis)fortune of seeing one myself, though. 0 Share this post Link to post

Yup, there's one right in the very first level (E1M1) in the NUKAGE room looking across the zig-zag path. http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/File:E1m1_slime_trail.png Is that the right wiki to link to or not? I can never remember which one is supposed to be "official" these days. 0 Share this post Link to post
