RIP Tony Scott

The Hollywood producer and director committed suicide by jumping off a bridge, apparently.

He was probably best known for being Ridley Scott's brother and the director of Top Gun and True Romance, I suppose. You can see his full filmography here.

This is terrible and shocking news. I wonder if his decision was meditated upon beforehand or the unfortunate product of something sudden. He had such a return to form with his recent film Unstoppable... I feel sorry for even contemplating the reasons behind him taking his own life.

Unstoppable was... um... not so good. Enemy of the State is a decent flick though.

I can practically see this bridge from my house. The traffic yesterday became a massive clusterfuck as a result of this, though I didn't need to go to Long Beach for any reason True Romance was a good film all-in-all.

Never seen Top Gun completely, but I liked Enemy of the State. Well, RIP I suppose.

I've always liked Ridley better though anyways, though I suppose I'm biased towards Blade Runner. No idea what either guy was/is like in person.
