DoomUK Posted August 20, 2012 The Hollywood producer and director committed suicide by jumping off a bridge, apparently. http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2012/08/20/us/ap-us-obit-tony-scott.html?_r=1&hp He was probably best known for being Ridley Scott's brother and the director of Top Gun and True Romance, I suppose. You can see his full filmography here. 0 Share this post Link to post
Alfonzo Posted August 20, 2012 This is terrible and shocking news. I wonder if his decision was meditated upon beforehand or the unfortunate product of something sudden. He had such a return to form with his recent film Unstoppable... I feel sorry for even contemplating the reasons behind him taking his own life. RIP. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mr. T Posted August 20, 2012 Unstoppable was... um... not so good. Enemy of the State is a decent flick though. 0 Share this post Link to post
Snakes Posted August 20, 2012 I can practically see this bridge from my house. The traffic yesterday became a massive clusterfuck as a result of this, though I didn't need to go to Long Beach for any reason True Romance was a good film all-in-all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted August 20, 2012 Never seen Top Gun completely, but I liked Enemy of the State. Well, RIP I suppose. I've always liked Ridley better though anyways, though I suppose I'm biased towards Blade Runner. No idea what either guy was/is like in person. 0 Share this post Link to post
