Heidi Ho People!

Sorry for being late; early midterms do this to you.

Anyway, Poll as always, same as always, I'm lazy. As always.

I'm going ALL OUT THIS YEAR. I got a 6-ft tall grim reaper that talks and scares the shit out of the cat (Yesss!) And some really spooky spider lights. Got my big bowl-o-candy and some doom64 music and I'm ready to scare some kids this year. Got some CFL blacklights to complete the look. You won't know how much CFLs going down have saved on my spooky lighting costs. Seriously.

Where to get Halloween stuff? Well, this year it's much easier! So many dead Blockbuster video stores = Halloween stores! They got a lot of stuff this year, since last year was kinda shitty economy-wise.

AS for me? I'm going as a huge bottle of ketchup. Don't judge me. I'll do god's condiment justice.

SO WHATCHA DOIN? Here's some links as I find them that I find really spooky and cool.

First up: JACK-O-JUKE! By I-Mockery. I love these dudes.

SCARING THE PISS OUT OF KIDS.

I got inspiration from last year when they used a fog machine and dug 4 holes in a front yard with some guys dressed as zombies with some blood guns. One of them chased a boy two blocks.

I live outside the city and get no trick-or-treaters. I'm going to the new Silent Hill movie some time during the weekend and hopefully will catch a horror movie on tv.

There's a party at work that I'm going to, and I *might* be going to a friend's party as well, but I'm not sure yet. Either way I don't plan to dress up. But since I dress as a goth anymore, that probably doesn't matter as much.

If those plans fall through, I'm just staying at home, handing out/eating candy, and playing Doom 3 with the lights off and volume high.

This poll sucks. I demand one allowing multiple selections.

Halloween seems to be a huge thing with lots of people I know, so there will be multiple parties, movies (more silly than scary), shitloads of candy, scaring kids, etc.

We do not celebrate Halloween in Czech Republic and even if we would then I would not participate anyway. I do not like kids, costumes and these parties with lot of moving, uncontrolable and noisy people are not my thing.

Well, I didn't see a multi-select poll. Can someone fix that?

Hallow-e'en is a Celtic/Anglo-Saxon thing. I don't expect everyone to have it. But you sound antisocial somehow. :P

Halloween hasn't caught on in Australia (despite the best efforts of retailers) and with mostly older families in this neighborhood I've yet to see a trick-or-treater.

Thankfully that's the case, the last thing I need is an excuse to eat loads of sweets!

I don't know what I'm doing this year. Either nothing as usual or watching horror films like last year.

If lucky I'll go trick r treating with friends and scare the piss out of kids. Not sure who's more legendary in this state, Ed Gene or Jeffery Doumer. Not sure who to dress up as.

Maybe I'll do something more Doom related and find a Kebold outfit.

^This... I went trick-or-treating when I was a kid back in the late 80s and people just told the group I was in to basically piss off, that this was Australia and not America. Parents here wouldn't let their kids go around knocking on strangers doors these days anyway.

I'm going to do a day at work, where I'll have to pay £3 "voluntarily" to the company charity and then I'm going to head up to Sheffield for 3 days of PARTYING!! (YEEEEAH!)

This won't be halloween themed, but it will be drunk, which is more than sufficient for me.

I am going to do that DRESSED UP AS BATMAN! In all seriousness though I'll more than likely be down the pub.

Sounds like your company is run by Scientologists.

I live in Australia, and only once (last year) did a couple of random weirdos knock on the door and ask for candy, but it was the day before Halloween, and they were just wearing plain clothes. I don't give candy to weirdos.

I will probably just play games like Monster Bash, and maybe play some harmless dumb pranks if I get the chance.

Probably won't buy anything, but soft foam axes and plastic swords and retarded-looking masks are being sold here. Don't know why they can't just have creepy masks instead of goofy ones, maybe they're supposed to make people die from laughter.

I should clarify that the drunken/Sheffield part is entirely of my own doing and has nothing to do with my job, but a lot to do with a mate who's birthday is on 1st November. I could save myself £1 on charity donations if I turned up to work in fancy dress, but have concluded that it would ultimately be more effort than it's worth.

Drinking... among how many people is a question itself, but no less than 3 others. I'll probably just throw a trash bag over my clothes, grab the dull ax in the garage and call my self Patrick Bateman. Simple and cheap.

I would dress up as a zombie Margaret Thatcher, but it looks like the evil witch is going to ruin it again by staying alive for another year.

Coincidentally enough, this year October 31st is going to be the date of one of my tests for a college course. But that will not stop me from chilling in the evening afterwards.
I'll probably be playing Skulltag with bots and trying to deflate Orion's ego.
If not that then I'll probably be playing Heretic 2 online.
And if not even that then I'll probably be watching some Batman flicks.
