I'm sure this will interest a number of users here..

I read the post he put on postmortem quite a while ago. I still wonder what platform's he is actually hoping to get Blood on. Hopefully this will bring along with it some more modding features.

Well, damn, this is pretty cool. I hope something comes of this.

That's pretty awesome. It makes you feel warm inside when things like that happend to a community.

More or less a port of the original engine... kind of sad they don't just release it under GPL like Duke3D did.

Sounds like a good idea, so long as they open the source and don't stray from the original game too often.

I would love it if they would impliment opengl but then they'd have to make 3d models to replace the voxels.

I think the article in question has taken things out of context which Jace Hall never said anything about a "Enhanced Blood" but rather a source port which he actually said he was thinking about it at the time. Although he might be making a deal with Atari as we speak.

You're answering to an article in which Jason Hall explicitely said he wanted to bring Blood back "with functionality alterations/enhancements that are similar but superior to ZDAEMON’s", you link to a forum post linking in bold and big letters to Jason's original post in which he explains his vision and asks the community for features and fixes, and your conclusion is "it's just going to be a source port without enhancements".

Have Mr. Hall posted anything on the status of the project as of now? Its still not set in stone, right?
