darkreaver Posted October 26, 2012 The bottom counter, PLN, what does it mean? It`s slightly over max in a couple of spots in a map I`m making. 0 Share this post Link to post
darkreaver Posted October 26, 2012 Hmm, yeah probably. Yuck. Guess I`ll need to do some deleting then. edit: think I fixed it by blocking off a view out a ddorway =) thanks 0 Share this post Link to post
Pottus Posted October 26, 2012 Single sided lines are your friend when it comes to vanilla mapping. 0 Share this post Link to post
Dragonsbrethren Posted October 26, 2012 The number of two sided lines you have has no direct effect on the visplane count. Two many different sector flats, lighting, and heights visible from one spot is what you want to avoid. Keep them limited, and in general you won't have any problems with VPOs (people who understand the rendering engine better than me can explain why that isn't always the case). 0 Share this post Link to post
Pottus Posted October 26, 2012 I was mostly referring the use of them for blocking certain areas to reduce VPO count but you are right double sided lines won't really have much an effect apart from increasing seg counts. 0 Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted October 27, 2012 If your version of Chocorenderlimits is up to date, press F6 to see exactly where visplanes are being split. Often times you'll be surprised by what's eating up the most of them. 0 Share this post Link to post
