Greenlight & Doom

You know that Greenlight thing on Steam? I noticed some F2P games turn up on it.

Do you think some of the independent games that don't rely on id's IWADS could turn up on it? Stuff like FreeDoom and Chibi Rebellion which I found just today (ITS SWEEEET)

Might get Doom more attention, or maybe bad attention?

Freedoom possibly could; but Chibi Rebellion never would for legal reasons (too many resources ripped from other stuff).

oh yeah I forgot it uses Star Wars stuff :\

there were other TCs though that used original content, maybe id would let people upload mods like Brutal Doom, if only they sorted out some sort of workshop page for Doom

Someone should contact the creators of Harmony to get it up on Steam!

You'd have to be crazy to pay for Freedoom in its current state.

I think F2P means free to play.

I'm surprised Freedoom isn't already on there, honestly. I guess they put that $100 donation requirement in place too soon for all the guys who sell it on the app store to care.

You can put free games up on Greenlight, they could stick Freedoom up there and get attention for future contributors.

I'm considering putting Hacx 2.0 up at some point, but IMO it's a bit early for such since it'd be purely a promotional thing. Don't want attention to die out before it's done, and that's still a ways off.
