TMALL.WAD question

Hi, I'm trying to play TMALL.WAD but I think I'm doing something wrong because some enemies look like computers and they can't attack me. I suppose this is because this wad includes a Dehacked 2.0 patch while Prboom-plus only supports Dehacked 3.0. Is that correct? If so, is it possible to convert a 2.0 patch to 3.0? Looks like a cool wad, I'd like to play it the intended way if possible.

I just tested this in zdoom and had the same effect. I don't think they are supposed to attack. Some of the monster sprites have been turned into computers and breakable windows.

Though I do believe something hasn't loaded correctly because the breakable windows, which are cyber demons, still have the same amount of health and take forever to break.

Given the patches age it's probably for the v1.666 executable, which might explain some of the odd behavior. I'll see if I can convert it to text format.

Yeah, I found it on Maximum Doom CD as well. So how did you play it, did you use the original v1.666 executable?

I managed to do so by using DeHackEd 2 to patch a v1.666 executable then DeHackEd 3 to save a copy of the patch. Importing the patch into TMALL.WAD appears to have the monsters working properly in ZDoom and PrBoom+, though I noticed in PrBoom+ that (at least) some monsters are unable to retaliate when the modified spiderdemon shoots them. I encountered a visplane overflow in E3M1 which has slowed my vanilla testing, so I'm not sure if there's a broken door preventing a player from reaching the Yellow key without cheating.

What with computers that bleed, walking walls, trees that move when shot and almost being killed by a glass door with attitude - I decided to tweak the patch in my previous post. I've also made the "spiderdemon" taller, which appears to have cured the infighting issue in PrBoom+.
