Strife: Absolute Order m01

Hey, so I'm really stuck on...the very beginning. I keep restarting and wandering everywhere, collecting tons of little hidden gold stashes and clips...but everything is locked or a dead end, all of the npcs are generic, and I can't figure out what to do first. A hint would be appreciated.

Explore the building near the mines entrance, in the large courtyard. :)

You've got to break in a building through a window.
