Your favorite main menu music from games

List the games you like the menu music from, they don't have to be in any particular order and they don't have to be only from your favorite games as long as you liked the menu music.

I only put down ones that I remembered liking.

MGS: Peace Walker has some great menu music for a majority of the game. At some point in the game's story (can't remember... post last boss?), the music changes and isn't nearly as cool.

Also, I second the notion that Perfect Dark's menu music is cool.

Same here but Amnesia's main theme is certainly one of my favourites along with, Deus Ex, FTL and Unreal. I have a lot more favourites but those really do spring (pardon the pun) to mind.

plus some obscure medieval fantasy RTS in the late 90s

More or less all the titles I can think of that made me sit at the main menu, just listening. Interesting to see I like (or liked at one point) all of these games, too. There's probably some correlation here, i.e. the longer you play a game the more often you hear the main tune, and familiarity matters in music.

Among others.

It's amazing how ahead of the time the A500 was...no other version of Xenon II had this amazing intro, if anything because none could cope with the sampling/MOD format required...

I prefer this version. Other versions just don't sound right.

But definitely best is Crusader No Remorse and No Regret, like Lupin said.

so many great ones mentioned (especially Icewind Dale and Deus Ex), but i'll go with lupin and kristus. The Traveler from Crusader kicks way too much ass.

here's my favourite weird choice... theme 1 of Ascendancy (it's one of the repeating game themes, but it's always the first one to start with the menus)

gahh, stupid me... i forgot about Gabriel Knight, parts 1 and 3 had the most fantastic menu/main theme up there with crusader.

Terran 2 is actually some of my favorite game music ever, actually. But is it menu music? I honestly can't remember, but I know it's at least used in missions.

While that's one of my ATF soundtracks, it's an in-game rather than menu music.

You mean menu music? What an unusual topic... In any case, DOOM 3 wins for me:

for the simple reason that this music gets replayed in full force when you win the game. Otherwise you'll only hear the more silent song, which is also awesome.
