Platinum Shell Posted August 29, 2013 Saw a video on it a year ago...game had a website with a story on the game and the actually gameplay was quite different from what you'd expect. Enemies in the game were these weird floating pairs of lips. It's about all I can muster. Pretty sure the game was Doom based. 0 Share this post Link to post
Platinum Shell Posted August 29, 2013 Wow that was quick. And yeah, that: 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted August 29, 2013 In all my years playing shovelware disks, I can honestly say I have never seen this FPS before. Doesn't look too good. 0 Share this post Link to post
schwerpunk Posted August 29, 2013 Hm, that static point lighting is pretty interesting, assuming it's running in software mode. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kirby Posted August 29, 2013 That is one RETARDED looking shotgun. Other than that, it actually holds a slight interest value, if not for just the fact of when it was made and what you could do in it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Obsidian Posted August 29, 2013 Funny you should mention that, Jack101's making something just like it in ZDoom. 0 Share this post Link to post

You can tell by how it clips and isn't aligned properly at points. The rest of the lighting itself is...well, weird. You're presuming way too much competence in their engine. and, yeah, it's no surprise few ever heard of this, considering the people behind it are absolute nutjobs who believe in bardo spaces that somehow exist out there or whatever. They still exist, and they're still using stolen assets for things. http://www.goddgames.com also worth noting, to anyone who really wants to know more of exploding lips, that the wayback machine is the best way to grab snippets from their website, and that, even more importantly, it's one of those weird late 90s games [this is a 1998 release. That the developers say was being worked on for 25 years. What a riot.] that requires windows 98 to XP to work and refuses to function with anything else. 0 Share this post Link to post

Gez Posted August 29, 2013 You know what the industry needs? It needs to have these guys make the next COD. 0 Share this post Link to post

Krispy Posted August 29, 2013 Oh, after watching that video, I finally know where the phrase, "This door opens elsewhere" comes from! 0 Share this post Link to post
Obsidian Posted August 29, 2013 Maybe the musical score could be written by The Flaming Lips. :D 0 Share this post Link to post
