Turok Doom Anyone?

New Name Turok:Doom Wars

Whats under work now Spirit temple (only 6 sectors left), The Mag 60 (got quite a bit left to do on this) The main menu (I need a hunting knife or arrow to replace the doom skull)

I am looking for spriters/sprite rippers, midi composers, textures/texture rippers, and one or two mappers.

Unfinished map of spirit temple updated! The Textures are temporary placeholders.

Sounds interesting. Turok is a pretty fun game and I'd like to see some dinos in a Doom WAD. Good luck with this.

Yeah I really enjoyed the games myself I plan on making single player maps. But at the moment my focus is multiplayer maps and weapons. I gotta learn a little more before I make monsters and player classes. I want to include dinos and a raptor playerclass for multiplayer.

This will be my first wad to be released btw so I don't want to go to far but when I finally release something I'll be more confident to release more content.

I like the idea, and the Mag60 would be an excellent pistol replacement - I could see myself using it for a lot longer than the vanilla pistol, especially if it's as accurate as it was in its source game.

Turok 1 and 2 have some of the most interesting video-game weapons ever created. In particular, I'd be be interested in how you'd recreate the "Alien Weapon" from the original Turok. I loved the delayed explosion on this one when I was a lad.

Although, if it were included, you better bet your little blue bonnet that I'll be loading up NUTS.WAD with IDFA and the console command SV_FASTWEAPONS 2. Cerebral Bore minigun... I may never be the same again.

I am using DECORATE since I don't know anything about DEHACKED. I would love to add all the weapons and will if I can. Oh yes I really want the cerebral in the mod and the alien gun too.

Some of the maps use floor over floor so just keep that noted though I don't plan on using them in single player maps so a complete play-through on most ports should be possible

If anyone would like to sprite monsters let me know.

Hey just letting you guys know I haven't abandoned this I'm just one of those people that bounce from project to project. But the practice from those only helps me get better and make this wad that much better ^_^

You need a map from seeds of evil? I made one when I was bored awhile ago. I'll finish it, and you can have it
I mean, it could be a secret level if you would want it

That might work pretty well at the moment I've been focusing on Rage Wars as that is my favorite game. Probably because it was my first turok game. But I liked all the turok games I've played and used to own all the 64 titles until they were stolen.

Anyway if you want to help your welcome to I'm just not sure how yet. I'm not very far in my progress yet I plan on starting another weapon today.

Send me a link to try out your map I'd appreciate it. Also How would you like to help?

Alright cool I have been doing sprite rips and then convertering them too the doom palette so they look right and resized from its largest portion to 100. So far I got the mag 60. And getting ready to do the auto shotgun alt fires included :)

I can't make alt fires :(
I do know how to make a gun shoot faster in some cases...
This map isn't a lot, but I had very little time today. So I didn't make it bigger. But I guess it is ok for a base. Here, have fun http://www.sendspace.com/file/vy861f
oh, and I am getting the ROM so I can rip the textures. I'll use fraps. I only played Rage Wars once, I really only played seeds of evil. So, I'll try my best on this

I been playing rage wars, and I actually got the first part of the war hammer, it's halfway done of you want it, plus a few pictures that have the rest. I've just been busy with my newest project and I haven't done to much that focused on turok converting. That game is hard as hell and the texture stealing is just unbelievable! I had no option but to manually remove everything around the hammer with a deleting tool with paint.net, I couldn't use magic wand :(

Alright thanks! Sorry it took my so long to respond I've been pretty busy myself. I will keep working on this when I get the time. Yeah I could use a mapper, I would say just play the games and make the maps you enjoy the most. Just play around on multiplayer whether with bots or friends. The single player maps are good too it would just take more time to balance them for Multiplayer. I'm working on spirit temple from Rage Wars and I also want to do proving ground other than that feel free to jump in. ^_^

I played the map, awesome! I usually use Doom builder so I am horrible at 3d floors :( and slopes, I should get the new GZDoom builder. Well, I really like that map with the boss, the first one. Green guy

Hey Kalinus, I like the idea of a turok doom wad. I'm not really sure what to say on it yet because it is still in production, but new sprites and gun sounds would be cool.

If you like, I have a DEHACKED patch that consists of a faster pistol/ chaingun, but a slower switch item sequence with the chainsaw. This patch was originally from Doomkid's Revenge of the 90's.wad

Yeah the turok games were a favorite of mine on the n64. Also that deathmatch wad of yours is pretty awesome.

Also so everyone knows my internet is down the project will continue to be worked on I recently began living on my own and don't make enough to cover everything yet

Alright I have the Music from all 4 turok games on the n64 right now they're all in miniusf format i can convert them to mp3's but I would like midi's anyone interested in making them I'll email the files to you.

Also swimable ceilings are a huge pain but I am working on them at the moment. Any tips? I can make them on the outer edges of a room so far.

Ok I have another Issue all is good other than my water on the ceiling I want it to be blue. My 3d Floor Water on the ceiling is coloring the floor below it as well anyone have a get-around?

Update see above

I will be working on the automatic shotgun next as well as two maps I'm thinking Hopeless and Earth Temple.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should include?

Oh and I could use some help with making tracking/homing weapons such as cerebral bore and the boomerang
