Well, I played the updated version of your wad and I must say that it is an appropriate choice. The map does also seem a bit light on action though.

Yeah, i know 'Sweet Dreams' was a cover - along with 'Put a Spell on You' and 'Rock'n'Roll Nigger' on the 'Smells like Childred' EP. The original was The Eurythmics.

Anyway we've been scouring the net for more midis, and have found more Manson, NIN, Rammstein, Metallica, and much more, so expect these to appear later on :)

Not crappy at all. It's one of my favorite songs.

I said it was 'happy', not 'happy shit' - that doesn't necessarily mean that I don't like the track.

Hm, it's good - definitely better than the "official" map01 music in Doom 2, but it's too happy

And while it would be a good Doom song, I'd still prefer something more evil, Hell, I'd prefer something more evil over the official Doom music tracks (but that doesn't mean that I don't like the official music).

Weirdly enough, the D_runnin of the Freedoom project sounds cool enough even though it is almost the same as the Doom2 one.

Love it. It serves its purpose, it conveys that feeling that while you endured countless enemies in Doom, you haven't accomplished anything yet. It's almost mocking you, and at the same time, is ominous enough to not sound clowny.

Map01 music happy? hmm. I don't know. It's a perfect first map song to me.

At any rate, no other Doom 2 track annoys the fuck outta me like Map01 - and most of Doom 2's tracks annoy me a lot.
So it's crap in my book.

I agree. There are no really good tracks in DOOM2. Some of them are OK (d_count, d_ddtblu, d_ampie), but are ruined by crappy arrangements and that they sound kinda mediocre rather than evil.

Download the mp3 version of DTT Blues. It is utterly fantastic.

It's OK. Still too dull IMO, DOOM music should either be evil or inflammatory.

Exactly, and that's why I like Doom 1's music far better - most of it is not as cheesy as Doom 2's and none of the Doom 1 tracks are annoying as fuck (I even like "Hiding the Secrets", E1M9/E3M9, as a music track although I find it too cheesy for Doom).

Maybe the midi, but not the actual song. I used to have the midi a while ago, when I had this huge collection for some reason.
