The Fallen: Dark Ascension (In need of feedback as well as playtesters).

The Fallen: Dark Ascension is an 8 map Dark Hellish/Gothic theme re- imagining of Ultimate Doom's Episode 3 and 4 this time using the capabilities of the Gzdoom engine. Some of the features that brings new life into this hellish theme includes: slopes, new decorate monster types, dynamic lights, and various scripted events.

Looks like the author have failed to pack everything properly.

Open the pk3, extract the "Fallen" folder into your GZDoom directory, then drag-and-drop said folder onto gzdoom.exe. That should work.

Yeah I'm still learning about the pk3 structure. I'm use to the old simple wad file. Just 'drag' and 'drop' the zipped Folder into the Gzdoom exe.

You might want to host it somewhere better, like Dropbox or something.

Anyways, I played it. The maps looked pretty nice, though the lack of colored lighting is a step down as far as the updated PSX levels go. I didn't have any fun with it, though. The monster placement is too extreme without taking into account how exactly they handle in the environment. There's also something really weird about putting more monsters into maps that were well balanced in the first place.

And this is more of a personal preference, but Realm 667 monsters are rarely "here's a new monster that does something different", like the Doom 2 monsters were, and more "here's a stupidly strong monster!"
