xbroglos Posted December 31, 2014 Found an aluminum thing. Not exactly what I wanted but will do: cut and glue wire for posing: I made a brain shape out of crumpled shredded paper, water and glue. It is still wet: 0 Share this post Link to post
RUSH Posted January 4, 2015 Looks interesting. Post a picture when it's done or your progress along the way. Cool project! 0 Share this post Link to post
Jaxxoon R Posted January 5, 2015 Inb4 we get a "What if DooM was made in the ghetto?" thread, the likes of which where everywhere a while back. Didn't that user that made them get loser'd eventually? Kind of sad really, I doubt he meant any harm by it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Waffenak Posted January 6, 2015 Looks interesting, monitoring this thread more closely from now on. I got very odd resin modelkit of spider mastermind and cyberdemon from same creator: http://s1213.photobucket.com/user/waffenak/media/IMG_9826.jpg.html?o=11 I didn't glue those spider mastermind pieces together, used tape just to take picture of it what it would look like if it was glued together. It even has tiny metal teeth and wires included 0 Share this post Link to post

xbroglos Posted January 7, 2015 New pictures: legs bent (that was easy) wire from a computer cable for detailing the joint: gluing this took much more time than expected, but I like the results: I made a foot with real rubber from a bicycle tire tube. But I dont know yet the angle the legs will touch the floor, so I wont make the other three until later. And finally the chassis: I didnt find any material better than wood (it will have to be covered with aluminum): 0 Share this post Link to post
RUSH Posted January 8, 2015 Looks to be coming along quite nicely. So far so good. 0 Share this post Link to post
xbroglos Posted January 8, 2015 for the next step I had to drink a beer: see nice thin aluminum sheet that can be cut with scissors: (but they cut you back): nothing yet really glued at this point: 0 Share this post Link to post

xbroglos Posted January 12, 2015 Some more pictures of the chassis and the detailing I gave it: I put a screw there to help fix the "brain" when the time comes: and the underside needed some decoration: every cybernetic being need a microchip: Now the gatling gun: It's just a pen part and cut q-tips, painted silver. Took me 2 minutes, tops. I'm happy with this part. 0 Share this post Link to post
xbroglos Posted January 16, 2015 started sculpting. I drew a face in a piece of paper and glued there for reference. The eyes are map pins. 0 Share this post Link to post
xbroglos Posted January 16, 2015 I found some rivets like this: cut and glued more pieces of the beer can, they are now this: I will work some more on the face, I am not exactly content with how it looks now: 0 Share this post Link to post
Jaxxoon R Posted January 16, 2015 The silly arm pose makes me think of Krang. You'd think there'd be at least one mod that turns the Mastermind pink and replaces his roars with TMNT sound clips, but maybe I just haven't bothered to look. 0 Share this post Link to post
Waffenak Posted January 17, 2015 Looking good, what material did you use for gray brain matter? That armpose and face makes me think of: Hey bartender one more beerr... purp... bartender:" go home spider, you are drunk" 0 Share this post Link to post
xbroglos Posted January 22, 2015 I suck at painting, but I had to start. The chassis is finished, minus the rubber feet. I put him there to dry: 0 Share this post Link to post

Mithran Denizen Posted January 22, 2015 Very cool work. With the paint, that fleshy brain matter looks a bit like ground beef, in the best possible sense. =D 0 Share this post Link to post
RUSH Posted January 24, 2015 That turned out really well for a simple DIY home project. Nicely done! 0 Share this post Link to post
