The person who made the videos does some really uncommon things, he even claims to have programmed a 16 color ray tracer in the arcane borland c++ running in Dosbox. a Qbasic NES emulator, and other oddities.

I really like the way certain colors stand out against the grey world in the second clip of the first video. The purple muzzle flash/text was a cool choice.

If you want to play a Raytraced doom then this is it, i ran this last week and a dual core 2.80 ghz will not present you with playable frame rates. The main thing one can notice are the reflections, and the old doom textures. So do not expect a photo realistic doom. ;)

This is really fascinating. Uploaded a few years ago. If anyone has got some info about this, I'd love to know. The description said it was made with glboom-plus -- it would be awesome to watch some speed demos with it!
