Zdaemon server, configuring

I can't start a ZDaemon server. It says that i need to "edit my zserver.cfg and activate it". The trouble is, i don't know what exactly to put there. What should I do? Can someone give me an example of how zserver.cfg looks like?
There seems to be nothing in the manual about that :-\

set cfg_activated "1"

The server crashes as soon as a monster notices a player and comes alive. It works fine in deathmatch, even in coop with no monsters, but monsters kill it.

Am I right in thinking that it's some weird error on my computer and can't be fixed?

Check if you have particles or sprites set as blood, one setting does crash servers, go read nightfangs forum at truelights.com for more info

Thanks a lot, it worked. Had to switch blood and bullet puff to sprites and turn off rocket trails.
