Heroes of the Storm

Anyone else play? Open Beta begins May 19th, and the release is June 2nd. I find it a lot of fun, way better than Dota and League.

Game Title reminds me too much of The Doors.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've played both Dota 2 and League. Dota has some really cool stuff, but is really hard to learn and be good at. League is a bit easier, but I feel it suffers from too much meta and power creep to be that great anymore, honestly.

And nobody loves Smite.

Buds have been playing it relentlessly, and it looks interesting. I might try it. I like League, but couldn't Dota.

I've played it a few times, it was pretty fun.

Probably not something I'd get into though, since I'm not a fan of MOBA games in general.

Not going to pay for unfinished version of game which will later become free to play. Do the companies think that we are completly RETARDED OR WHAT?

I heard that matches usualy last only 15 minutes, looks like another case of Blizzard dumbing games down for masses.

It's f2p anyway, people give away codes all the time.

And your average MOBA is fucking dreadfully boring for a good third of the game. Blizzard stripped away all the shit elements that rode on nostalgia and the game is better for it.

Why did you say the open beta is may 19th? it is 27th april and I am already playing it.

So far it is kinda fun, but there is no ingame currency and no items to buy... it is only heroes and spells and talents. At least there is variety of playing fields and sidequests.

The matchmaking is kinda bad, you pick your hero before you queue, so you just get random heroes at start of the match and can not select hero which fits most to your team, or to counter enemy.

It is silly how there can be same hero on both your and enemy team, is clonning possible?

From what I saw in the in-game store, then the cosmetic items like skins for heroes or mounts are all kinds of silly, and is going to make many heroes hard to recognize, when people start to use them heavily.

I also wonder, if are they going to make all those silly and gimmicky skins canon? Way to ruin your silly lore even more. Even porn has better story.

Well I might play it for while, but I am not going to spend any € on it, will just freeload like with hearthstone.
