Happy 4th of July!

I just want to say happy 4th of July to the whole Doomworld forum! Hope your day is great! I am about to get surrounded in beer bottles.

My favorite memories were on July 4ths when we'd go visit family in Missouri... All fireworks are legal there, here in Virginia only fountains and sparklers and shit (and no loud fountains either >.<)

My cousins and I would always line up with a few handfuls of the small, cheap black cat bottle rockets (the ones that just shoot off and pop) and place bets on who'd hit the post first, or just shoot em at each other/directly away from someone so the backdraft hits them, lol. We'd toss them, let them shoot off from our hands, and sometimes rip off the stick so youd never know where itd go.

Of course I was prolly 12 or so when I first started tossing them before take-off; it's not for young kids. But young adults should all get to experience that. Maybe in 20 years when I'm in my mid 40s I'll stop... But prolly not. Good ole clean fun :D

Perhaps I should watch some American fireworks on TV later. Ours for Canada Day were lame because our city is cheap that way.

Yes I spent my entire life inside a big floating bubble hovering over Oz as I use my mystical unicorn powers to connect to the DOS prompt.

I've had a lot of great memories with the 4th of July, but today I'm taking time off from new memories to reflect on the old ones.

The past 3 years I've had a lot of store bought memories rather than personal memories of the day. Paying to watch the grandest spectral in the city if not the region and while its the greatest hour long firework display year after year its just so unmemorable.

Hooray for scare the shit out of my dog all night so I can't sleep day!

All I need now is to develop an eidetic memory, so I can tap into all of that trivia history.

Big bonfire party last night with lots of food, drink, and fireworks. I'm surprised that my head doesn't feel like a pile of broken bricks today.

Watched fireworks from a boat while totally stuffed on food and weak margaritas.

Drank beer, ate barbecue, and went to the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend.

Worked, came home and found some time for Doom. "Drank" some "beer" in the process. Good holiday in my book.
