Difficulty levels

What difficulty level do you usually play Doom(2) on?

UV, of course. its the only way to play IMO.

I usually play on HMP, and then UV if I want a real challenge.

UV, and other than Nightmare, the others don't exist to me. Sometimes when I have an hour to kill I'll load up e1m7 turn on monster respawning, fast monsters, and god mode and just run around for an hour killing and typing idkfa. It's fun, and watching the percentage of mosnters killed run up at the intermission screen gives you a warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach. It's love.

Doom isn't diffcult at all unless it's on UV. Some pwads are too hard for me on UV, for instance I can only pass AV on HMP. Not bad as I use a Gamepad Pro!!!

UV....btw since when can u use codes in nightmare? ive only ever beaten episode 1 on nightmare everything else is damn impossible

If you're playing using ZDooM, just use "set sv_cheats 1" to turn on cheats in Nightmare! mode. Believe me, it really helps you out :)

UV! If I whant a challange, UV with -fast cmd line. I'm a little annoyed at nightmare. respawning monsters is just alittle too much for my dooming skills.

I'M TO YOUNG TO DIE...no not really. I usually play Hurt Me Plenty or Ultra Violence. Sometimes, when I'm just looking to play a quick game I play on Nightmare!

Agreed, I'm stuck on "Overwhelming Odds" on HMP skill. That cacodemon area is the area I'm having trouble passing
