Steven Garofalo, an artist at Epicgames, sent these concept pictures of a new Doom game enemy in. Thank you Steven!

They're a concept drawing he created before he joined Epic, of an enemy that might have made it into a new Doom game. These pictures predate Quake 3 Arena, and were created years in advance of the id Software new Doom game announcement.

Whatever it is, I respect the artist for taking so much time to make this masterpiece. It would definitely fit in the next DOOM game, or another future id game as a superboss.

Well. soldiers often wear gasmasks.. it's not exactly rare.

Just because the resolution of the pic is 10x higher than your conventional doom sprite, it doesn't mean the guy is ;)

I don't know where he got that cyberdemon idea...

I think he got it because this guy also has a replacement right arm, along with wires and tubes all around his chest and arm. Instead of a cybernetically-installed rocket launcher it's dual chainguns =) Kinda makes the Spider Mastermind look like a daddy longlegs doesn't it? =P

How does he hold that thing up though?
