The command is -warp (episode # 1-4)(level # 1-9)

So...you want to go to Hell Keep when you start. You type -warp 31.

-warp does not take mapname strings. it takes numbers. the fact that -warp e1m1 brought you to anything is just pure luck

I tried using -warp e1m1, and I get this:
W_GetNumForName: EeM1 not found!

I have no idea how you managed to get anywhere using that. For Doom and Heretic, use -warp # # (episode number, map number), and for Doom 2 and Hexen, use -warp ##.

yeah, I just typed doom -warp e1m1 and DOS crashed, -warp followed by 1 plus anything else (without a space) will be read as 1 1, I think.

you could just use *shudders* DooM 95 to start at what level you want too.

Ugh! How could you? Go and stand in the corner! :P

Is Doom 95 really that bad?

Having never played that version, it sounds like I shouldn't if I want to remain sane :p

It's just vanilla DOOM... in Windows. It's just so... nothing, it's not really worth the trouble of hunting down a copy.
