ZDoom keyboard delay

I installed ZDoom to run Doom 2 on my Windows 2000 machine. If I hold a key down, the character's movement does not stop immediately upon releasing the key. Has anyone else had this problem?

As far as I know, that is normal, an attempt at realistic movement physics. I takes a bit of room to get running full
speed as well. If you have a more severe problem, I've never
heard of it before.

Make sure you install SP1... I remember a lot of complaints about a bug like this in the ZDoom forums, and that seemed to be the common answer.
